Other X-Men facts

The original X-Men in the comics were: Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman, and Marvel Girl.

Jean Grey had a clone Madelyne Pryor that was created by Mr. Sinister.

In the Days of Future Past time line, the Sentinels killed most of the superheroes, including Reed Richard of the Fantastic Four,
Professor Xavier of the X-Men, the Incredible Hulk, and more.

There was a comic released in 1963 about a team of super-powered misfits who banded together under some smart guy in a
wheelchair to fight against prejudice and the right to just be yourself by DC Comics. The Doom Patrol came out in 1963 (the same
year as the X-Men), and featured Robotman, Negative Man, and Elasti-Girl under the cryptic leadership of the Chief. Yes, the heroes
were crippled by the nature of them being heroes. The Chief did rule from his wheelchair, and their whole point was to prove that
even misfits and freaks could be a productive part of society, despite prejudice. -Source FAQS.org

In the X-Men comic books, Rogue's real name was unknown until recent. They've revealed that her first name is "Anna Marie". Now
I think that Marvel was just lazy, and said "Hey, the actress' is Anna Paquin, and the character from the movie is Marie, let's put 'em
  together!"

  Michigan is the wolverine state.

The character General William Stryker was based on the Reverend Stryker in Claremont's graphic novel "God Loves, Man Kills".

In X-Men Evolution, the students at Professor Xavier's school are teenagers.

In X-Men Evolution, Storm, Professor, Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, and Sabretooth are adults.

In the third season of X-Men Evolution, Jean and Scott graduate from high school, and start teaching the new mutants.

In the comic books, Colossus aka Piotr Rasputin, falls in love with a young Kitty Pryde aka Shadowcat.

In the comics and in Evolution, Nightcrawler is Mystique's son. But not in the movies.

Scott was married once before Jean. To her clone!

Scott Summers has three children. Two of them from different timelines. Nathan Christopher Summers, this timeline; Rachel Summers,
from the Days of Future Past; and Nate Gray, from the Age of Apocalypse time line.

Mutants cannot get AIDS. But, there is a version just for mutants, called the Legacy Virus.

Pyro was of the mutants that have died from the Legacy Virus.

Wolverine trained Kitty Pryde in Japan. This is where she named herself "Shadowcat".

Some people refer Jean Grey as Phoenix IV. Because "Marvel's original Phoenix was actually Baron Zemo II's first costumed identity.
The Jean Grey who became "Phoenix II" was a clone, and Rachel Summers is Phoenix III, so Jean is really Phoenix IV." I however,
do not like this theory. And actually I refer to her as "Marvel Girl". Which was her very first codename.

Most people think Jean Grey was the first member (other than Prof X) of the X-Men. Because Professor Xavier met her first.
However, Scott Summers was the first one recruited.

There's a street named "Logan" in Milwaukee, WI.

There's a street named "Xavier" in Panama, FL.

There's a song by Weezer that mentions Nightcrawler and Shadowcat. It's on their self-titled album. And the song is titled "In The
Garage". The song goes "I've got a Dungeon Master's Guide, I've got a 12-sided die, I've got Kitty Pryde and
Nightcrawler too. Waiting there for me yes I do, I do."
